On November 13th, 2024, the NEW Pride Agenda hosted the inaugural Empowerment Awards at the Salesforce Tower!
The First Annual Empowerment Awards celebrated five years of impact by the NEW Pride Agenda and honored community leaders and champions working to create positive change for LGBTQ+ New Yorkers.
Honorees included Richard Burns, Chair of the Founding Board of Directors at the American LGBTQ+ Museum, Mateo Guerrero, Trans Justice and Leadership Program Manager at Make the Road NY and Jonelle Johnson, Director of Government and Community Strategy at Charter Communications.
